Bakkieline

Originally developed as a protective inner coating for coal wagons, Bakkieline has been modified to safeguard vehicle load bodies, under bodies and other areas subject to wear and tear. A flexible, protective coating, Bakkieline is used by truck manufacturers, body builders and panel shops. It has also found favour in the DIY sector for use on bakkies, 4 x 4s and trailers. For a top class finish and added protection, an overcoat using any Refinish Topcoat system is recommended.

Plascon Automotive Stonechip Protector Recently introduced to the Plascon Automotive product range, the Stonechip Protector guards the underbody of vehicles and prevents damage to the working areas of utility vehicles. As this product is water-based, Stonechip Protector is hard-wearing and flexible thereby effectively withstanding abrasion, impact and chips caused by stones and loose gravel. It is also resistant to petrol, diesel, oil and water, as well as marine environments making it resilient and long-lasting. The semi-matt protector comes in black, white or grey and can be overcoated by itself, or alternatively by nitrocellulose, alkyd or polyurethane coatings. EP Range of Primers

The recently introduced range of Plascon Automotive EP Range of Etch Primers boast good weld through properties, as well as adhesion and flexibility. Their quick drying properties, provision of corrosion protection and resistance to oil spills and splashes only add to the quality of this range of Etch Primers. DuPont ™ TYVEK ®

Features of Tyvek® Classic: Protection — High particulate, spray and splash barrier. Durability — Tyvek® is extremely tough tear and abrasion resistant. Comfort — Tyvek® is permeable to both air and water vapour, allowing the fabric to breathe. It is extremely light weight and flexible. Non- linting — Made of continuous strong fibres, Tyvek® is lint-free. Contaminant free — Tyvek® is made from pure high density polyethylene. It does not contain fillers, binders or silicone, so it is free of inherent contaminants. Outstanding particle holdout — Because Tyvek® is made of extremely fine, continuous fibres, it has outstanding holdout effectiveness against fine particles and fibres.

Degreasing cloth A wipe suited for all cleaning processes in the professional shop, the degreasing cloth can be used with all modern, water-based and conventional solvent degreasers and silicone removers.

Final tack cloth Unlike traditional tack cloths, the Sontara ® product is not sticky and leaves no chemical residues on the substrate surface or hands. This guarantees that the repair surface is free of tack transfer or fingerprints, minimizing the risk of defects.

Static control wipe Reduction of static reduces paint defects by up to 30% and by using this wipes before applying primer or topcoat, static will be significantly reduced. It is highly recommended for use on plastic parts.

Dry polish cloth Extremely soft, this polish cloth is perfect for delicate polishing jobs. Its special non-woven construction contains no streak-producing additives thus eliminating strings, fraying and lint. It is ideal for overall detailing including chrome, glass and interiors.

Krytox-impregnated polish cloth Totally silicone-free, this polish cloth is impregnated with Krytox ®, a high performance polish that gives a long-lasting shine and added protection to paintwork. Ideal for polishing new and old paint and sealing spot repairs, it is most effective for the polishing of chrome and painted plastic parts. No additional wax or polish is required.
